Getting started with Loyalty and Rewards program

Set up the Loyalty and Rewards program in Growave to start rewarding customers, boosting engagement, and encouraging repeat purchases

A strong loyalty program is essential for building lasting relationships with your customers. Growave’s Loyalty and Rewards programs help you drive repeat purchases, transform shoppers into loyal brand advocates, and reward your best customers with exclusive benefits. Whether through earning points, sharing referrals, or achieving VIP status, your customers will feel valued and encouraged to engage with your brand.

This guide outlines how to activate and customize the Rewards program to align with your business needs and provide an exceptional customer experience.


Activate Rewards programs

Growave offers three rewards programs:

You can activate or deactivate these programs in the Rewards β†’ Settings section of the admin panel. Alternatively, when a program is disabled, a banner on its respective page will prompt you to enable it.

Set up notifications

Configure notifications to keep customers informed about earning and redeeming points, and engaging in other rewards-related actions.

Configure Rewards program settings

The Settings page includes two tabs: General and Rewards for past actions.

General tab settings

Reward management by order status

Assign or cancel rewards based on the financial status of orders.

Rewardable amount calculation

Determine how the number of rewarded points is calculated based on the order values: including or excluding shipping costs, taxes, discounts, and gift card amounts.

Rewards availability settings

Specify which products and customers can participate in the rewards program and who can earn points (all customers or only those with a store account).

Points program status

Enable or disable the Points program, and set up decimal precision.

Points expiry

Set a points expiration period and enable relevant notifications.

Referrals program status

Enable or disable the referral program.

Referral channels

Activate social channels you want your customers to use for sharing the referral link. Provide a message text added when the referring customer shares their link via email.

Custom domain

Use your domain for referral links instead of the default ref.refrr.app.

Fraud detection

Receive alerts about suspicious activity via email.

VIP Tiers program status

Enable or disable the VIP Tiers program, choose the enrollment rule, and specify how the rewards are assigned.

Reset Rewards programs

Reset the Points and/or VIP Tiers programs progress (including rewards and discounts generated) within a specified period.

⚠️ Important

When you reset the Points or VIP Tiers programs in Growave and select to reset discounts as well, all associated discounts are removed from the Growave app. This means customers will no longer see these discounts in the Rewards widget or the Rewards page on your website. However, the corresponding database entries for these discounts are not deleted from Shopify.

Customize rewards branding

Users of Growave 2.0 (those who joined us after January 22, 2024) can customize branding options for the Rewards program to better align with their store’s style.

Navigate to Branding β†’ Rewards to customize general appearance, the Rewards launcher* and popup widget**:

  • Primary and secondary colors of the Rewards widget.

  • Button colors, fonts, and icon styles.

  • Links and icon colors.

  • Colors, fonts, and the name for the Rewards widget banner section.

  • Default widget view (home, ways to earn, ways to redeem, VIP Tiers).

  • Launcher color, font, icon, position, and device visibility settings.
