Display and manage your loyalty program widgets, including Rewards pop-up, Earn points, and Loyalty info, across your storefront

Overview

Growave’s Rewards widgets help you highlight your loyalty program across your Shopify storefront, allowing customers to view, earn, and engage with rewards at every stage of their shopping journey.

All widgets can be managed in Growave admin → Onsite widgets → Rewards.
You can place them using the Shopify theme customizer, adjust appearance in Branding → Rewards, and edit text through Branding → Languages.


Rewards pop-up widget

The main interface for your loyalty program

A floating widget that appears when customers click the Rewards launcher button.
It serves as the central hub for loyalty interactions, showing balances, ways to earn and redeem rewards, referral links, and VIP tier status, and can be enabled or disabled from the Onsite widgets → Rewards pop-up widget.

📘 Note

The Rewards pop-up and launcher button are inactive on the dedicated Rewards page to avoid duplicating functions.


Placement options

When installed from Onsite widgets, the Rewards pop-up and launcher are automatically added to your storefront.

You can change the launcher position (left or right), desktop/mobile visibility, and more in Branding → Rewards → Popup & Launcher.


Customization and text

Edit visuals and text from:

  • Branding → Rewards → Popup & Launcher — colors, icons, and placement.

  • Branding → Language → Rewards → Rewards pop-up widget — labels and messages.

Common language keys:

  • Your balance

  • How to earn points

  • How to spend points

  • View your rewards

  • Referral program

  • You get / They get

  • Your status


Behavior

  • Opens when customers click the launcher icon on the storefront.

  • Adapts based on active Rewards programs (Points, Referrals, VIP Tiers).

  • For guests, opens an invitation screen with program details, Join now, and Sign in options.


Customer view

When customers open the Rewards pop-up widget, they see several sections, depending on their status and the active programs.

1. Header (banner section)

  • Points balance — Displays total points earned.

  • Store credit balance — Appears below points if Store credit is active.

  • QR / Barcode icon — Appears if Loyalty QR feature is enabled, opens a scannable code for use with Shopify POS.

  • History icon — Leads to the customer’s History page listing all reward activity.

  • FAQ icon — Opens the Rewards FAQ tab configured in Branding → FAQ.

  • Close (×) — Closes the widget.

2. Points program section

Displays key loyalty actions:

  • How to earn points → Lists earning rules such as Place order, Leave a review, or Sign up.

  • How to spend points → Lists redemption options such as Discount, Free shipping, or Gift card.

  • View your rewards → Shows all rewards earned or redeemed with points but not yet applied to an order.

3. Referral program section

Encourages customers to share your store with friends and includes:

  • Instructions for copying and sharing the referral link.

  • You get / They get summary of incentives.

  • Referral link field and social icons (Facebook, X, WhatsApp, Messenger, Pinterest, Email).

Rewards are displayed depending on your referral rule settings.

4. VIP tiers section

Shows the customer’s current VIP tier and progress toward the next level.

  • Displays the tier name and progress bar.

  • Clicking the card opens a detailed view showing current and future tiers.

  • When the customer has reached the top tier, only the current tier is displayed.

View options

You can choose which screen customers see first when the Rewards pop-up opens.
Available starting views:

  • Home (default)

  • Ways to earn

  • Ways to spend

  • VIP tiers

Set your preferred initial view in Branding → Rewards → Popup & Launcher → Default tab. Refer to the Customize Rewards widget branding in Growave 2.0 for detailed steps.


Earn points widget

Show customers what they can earn before checkout

The Earn points widget displays how many points or store credit a customer can earn for purchasing a product. It typically appears on product pages below the price and is linked to the Place order rule in your Points program.
Both the rule and the Points program must be active for it to appear.


Placement options

When installed from Onsite widgets, it’s automatically added to the Default product page → Product information block in the Shopify theme editor.

Customization and text

In the Shopify page editor:

  1. Click the Earn points widget.

  2. Enable Show icon on the widget.

  3. Adjust font, icon, and background colors.

Language keys in Branding → Languages → Rewards → Earn Points Widget:

  • Earn {{points}} {{points_name}} on this purchase

  • Earn {{store_credits}} store credit on this purchase

  • Learn more


How the Earn points widget calculates points

  • If the customer belongs to a VIP Tier with a points multiplier, the widget will show the updated value once they are logged in.

  • If a Boost campaign is active, the widget reflects the multiplied points, but only for logged-in and eligible customers (if the Boost campaign eligibility tag is added). Customers who are not logged in or who don’t meet eligibility tag requirements set in the Boost campaign will see the standard (non-boosted) point value.

  • The widget does not account for Rewardable amount settings (e.g., exclusions for discounts or gift cards, or inclusions for taxes/shipping). It simply shows a raw estimate of points.


Customer view

Logged-in customers

  • See the estimated reward amount based on the Place order rule.

    • If the reward type is Points, it shows earned points.

    • If Store credit, it shows the equivalent store credit value.

  • The Learn more button opens the Rewards pop-up widget to view full loyalty details.

Guest visitors

  • See the same Earn points or Earn store credit message and the Learn more button.

  • Clicking Learn more opens the Rewards pop-up in guest mode with a short program introduction and join/sign-in options.


Loyalty info widget

Display a quick summary of points, rewards, and VIP progress

The Loyalty info widget gives logged-in customers an overview of their loyalty status right on the storefront. It displays balances, available rewards, referral links, and VIP tier progress — without opening the Rewards pop-up.
Works with both new and legacy Shopify customer account systems.


Placement options

When installed from Onsite widgets, the Loyalty info widget is added to the Homepage by default.
To place it on other pages:

  1. Go to Shopify admin → Online store → Themes → Customize.

  2. Select a page → open Template section → Add section → Apps → Loyalty info widget.

  3. Save your changes.

📘 Legacy customer accounts: You can also install the widget on the Customer account page.

Customer view

Depending on enabled programs, the Loyalty info widget can include:

  • Points balance — Displays total points earned.

  • Store credit balance — Shown if Store credit is active.

  • Your reward — Displays available rewards ready to be applied (e.g., 25% off).

  • Referral program — Shows the customer’s referral link with a copy button and message (“Refer a friend and receive a reward”).

  • VIP tier status — Displays the current tier (e.g., Bronze, Silver, Gold) with a progress bar to the next level.

  • QR / Barcode icon — Visible when Shopify POS integration is enabled; opens a scannable code for in-store redemption.

  • View rewards button — Opens the Rewards pop-up widget with full program details.


Behavior

  • Clicking View rewards in the Loyalty info widget opens the Rewards pop-up (unless the widget is on the Rewards page).

  • On the Rewards page, assign a custom link to View rewards; otherwise, the button will not work.

  • To change the View rewards link, click the Loyalty info widget in the Shopify page editor, then either enter a custom URL or select an existing shop page from the dropdown menu.

  • If the launcher is hidden in Branding → Rewards → Popup & Launcher → Launcher visibility, View rewards will not trigger the pop-up.


Customization and text

Edit labels and messages under Branding → Languages → Rewards → Loyalty info widget.

Common language keys:

  • Your points

  • Your reward

  • Ready to apply

  • Available to redeem

  • Referral program

  • Refer a friend and receive a reward

  • VIP Tiers

  • View rewards
