General questions

Do I have to switch to Growave 2.0, or can I keep using 1.0?

While you can continue using Growave 1.0 for now, we strongly recommend transitioning to Growave 2.0 to access the latest features, improvements, and a better user experience. Please note that Growave 1.0 is no longer receiving updates, which may limit access to new tools and enhancements.

What is the deadline for transfer to Growave 2.0 and what happens after that?

The exact deadline hasn’t been officially announced yet, but it is approximately March 1. This deadline will apply to every store using the legacy version of Growave.

Several notifications, including email reminders and banners within the Growave admin panel, will be sent before the deadline. However, if no action is taken, access to the admin panel may be limited until the update to Growave 2.0 is completed.

What happens to my existing data (e.g., points, reviews, wishlists) when I transition to Growave 2.0?

All your existing data, including points, reviews, and wishlists, will be safely migrated to Growave 2.0.

How long does the migration process take? Will there be downtime during the migration process?

The migration process is carefully designed to be seamless, guaranteeing no data loss or downtime. Your existing features will be updated to their latest versions (showcased in our demo store).

However, if there are any apps or custom scripts that might conflict with the update, it could extend the process. Typically, migration can be completed within a few hours to a few days. Our team will provide a detailed timeline after evaluating your account.

Do I need to reconfigure my settings or customize everything again after upgrading?

Most settings will be automatically carried over. However, to fully utilize Growave 2.0's capabilities, you may need to review and tweak a few new settings or features.


Financial questions

Is Growave 2.0 only available on specific plans?

No, Growave 2.0 is not exclusive to specific plans. It is available on all current Growave plans.

If you're currently on an archived plan, please note that transitioning to Growave 2.0 requires selecting one of the updated plans in our new pricing structure. This is because the features and functionality of Growave 2.0 are aligned with the new plan offerings.

How can I understand if I’m using an archived plan?

All current plans are listed on our billing page. If you're unsure which plan you're currently using and whether you'll need to change your plan while transitioning to Growave 2.0, please contact our support team for assistance.

What happens to my unused credits or balance from Growave 1.0? Will I have to change the billing plan?

If you are using Growave 1.0 with one of the archived plans, when transitioning to Growave 2.0, you will need to select one of our new billing plans. Any remaining balances or credits from your old plan will typically be automatically applied by Shopify toward future app charges under your new Growave plan until depleted. These credits will be documented on your subscription bill.

However, if your store exceeds the new plan limits, such as by exceeding the order limit, you will be charged additionally for those orders.

If you are already using the current plans with Growave 1.0 and transitioning to Growave 2.0, you won’t need to change your plan. The only charges that will apply are the next regular plan charges, along with any charges for exceeding order limits.


Transition questions

Do you offer training or guides to help me and my team adapt to Growave 2.0?

Yes, we provide detailed guides, tutorials, and live support to help you and your team get up to speed with Growave 2.0. We regularly update our guides and articles with new features, and updates are also outlined in Featurebase. Support levels vary depending on your plan, ranging from 24/7 email support to live chat, phone support, and priority technical support.

Can I continue using Social Login in Growave 2.0?

No, Growave 2.0 does not support Social Login. However, here are a few options to consider:

  • Switch to Shopify’s new customer accounts, which provide a passwordless login system.
  • Explore alternative apps if you prefer to retain the Social Login feature. For a replacement, we recommend considering Oxi Social Login, which can serve as an alternative.
  • Continue using Shopify’s theme-based login form and inform your customers that they’ll need to reset their passwords for the new version.

Customer experience questions

Will my customers notice any disruptions during the migration?

No, your customers won’t notice any disruptions during the migration process. It is designed to be seamless, ensuring their shopping experience remains uninterrupted.

After the migration, the Rewards page (available starting from the Growth plan) will need to be recreated. The updated page offers enhanced customization options and is managed through Shopify Theme settings.

Even without a dedicated Rewards page, customers can fully engage with the loyalty program through the Rewards popup widget, maintaining a consistent and rewarding experience.
