Overview
In some cases, the Growave support team may require access to your Shopify admin panel or POS app to investigate and resolve technical inquiries. This article provides step-by-step instructions on granting secure, temporary access to your store settings.
Key benefits
Faster troubleshooting: Direct access allows our team to identify and fix issues within your theme, app settings, or POS integration.
Secure collaboration: You control the specific permissions and can revoke access at any time.
Distinct access levels: Separately manage access for your Online Store backend versus your Point of Sale app.
How to create a staff account for Growave
Follow these steps to invite a Growave teammate to your Shopify admin panel for standard web support. You can also grant POS access from this page if needed.
In Shopify admin, navigate to Settings β Users and permissions.
Click Add staff.
Enter the following details in the Staff section:
First name: Growave
Last name: Support
Email: [email protected]
Grant the necessary Store permission and App and sales channel permissions.
(Optional) If you also need assistance with the Shopify POS integration:
Scroll down to the Point of Sale access section.
Select Access Point of Sale.
Assign a POS role that includes permissions to manage apps or view orders.
Set a 4-6 digit PIN and share it with our support team.
Click Send invite when ready.
πNote
Access is only used to assist with your specific issue. Once the task is completed, you should revoke access or delete the staff account.
How to create a POS-only staff account
If you need to grant Growave support access only to your Point of Sale app (without giving them access to your Shopify admin panel), follow these steps:
In your Shopify admin, navigate to Point of Sale β Staff.
Click Add staff.
In the Contact information section, enter the following details:
First name: Growave
Last name: Support
Email: [email protected]
Under Point of Sale access, select the appropriate POS role from the dropdown (e.g., Full permissions or specific permissions depending on the support needs).
Scroll down to the PIN section.
Set a new 4-6 digit PIN or use the randomly generated one.
Click Save.
Share this unique PIN directly with the Growave teammate so they can access the POS app to help you.
How to approve a collaborator request
Alternatively, Growave can send a collaborator request to access your store. To approve it:
Click the Bell icon (notifications) in the upper-right corner of your Shopify admin.
Select the New collaborator request notification. This will redirect you to the Users and permissions page mentioned above:
In the Users and permissions page, find the Collaborators section and click the Review request link:
You will be redirected to the Collaborator information page. Check permissions and click the Accept request button at the bottom:

Can Growave support grant me access to the app if the store owner is unavailable?
Unfortunately, no. Growave support does not have the ability to grant, modify, or bypass staff access permissions.
All app permissions and staff accounts are managed strictly within Shopify's secure system. If a staff member does not have permission to view the Growave app, only the store owner (or a staff member with full administrative rights) can grant that access through the Shopify admin settings.
If you have any questions or need help with the process, contact us at [email protected] or via the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of your Growave admin panel. We're here to help! π€
