Reward customers for Loox reviews in Growave using Shopify Flow

Reward your customers in Growave for posting reviews via Loox using Shopify Flow and Growave's Custom action.

The easiest way to reward customer for reviews is to use the built-in Growave Reviews app, which integrates seamlessly with Rewards — no Flow setup or API access is required.

If you prefer to collect reviews with Loox, you can still issue rewards in Growave by using the Shopify Flow trigger from Loox combined with Growave’s Assign points or rewards action for Shopify Flow + Custom action.


Plan requirements

  • Growave: Entry plan (reward with loyalty points only) or Plus plan (other rewards via Custom action).

  • Loox: Scale plan or higher (Shopify Flow triggers enabled).

  • Shopify: Any paid plan.

📘 Implementation note

This customization is based on Shopify Flow automation. You will need to create a Flow in your Shopify admin that connects Loox review events with Growave’s Rewards action.


How it works

1. Create a Custom action in Growave (Plus plan only)

(Skip this step if you’re on the Entry plan or want to award loyalty points only.)

  • Go to Rewards → Ways to earn → click Add ways to earn → select Custom action.

  • Define the reward (e.g., discounts, free shipping, etc.) and add a meaningful name for tracking, e.g., Leave a review - get a discount.

  • Copy the API reference ID from the setup page — you’ll need it in Shopify Flow.

2. Set up a Shopify Flow

  • Go to Shopify admin → Flow → click Create workflow.

  • Select trigger: Loox Reviews → New review.

  • In the Action step, select Growave → Assign points or rewards.

  • Fill in the fields:

    • Email: use Loox variable {{email}} (from the review event).

    • Action ID: paste the API reference ID copied from your Growave Custom action.

    • Rule type: leave empty (not required).

    • Points: enter a number to award points. If you use a Custom action, points will be added to the reward already defined in the Custom action.

  • Turn on your workflow.

Now, whenever a customer leaves a review in Loox, Growave will automatically assign the reward you configured.
