If you’ve integrated Growave with Klaviyo but aren’t seeing events or flows trigger as expected, this guide walks you through the most likely causes and how to fix them.
Why is my Klaviyo flow not triggering?
If your Klaviyo flow isn’t triggering, it usually means the relevant event from Growave wasn’t received. This can happen for several reasons:
1. Notifications in Growave are disabled
Klaviyo flows depend on Growave notifications to send event data.
To check:
Go to the Notifications section of the relevant app (e.g., Rewards → Notifications, Reviews → Notifications).
Enable all notifications you want Klaviyo to receive (e.g., Points earned, Reward redeemed, Review left).
⚠️ Important
If notifications were off at the time of the customer action, no data will be sent, even if you enable it later.
2. The Growave program or rule is disabled
If a feature like Reviews, Referrals, or a specific points earning rule is disabled, Growave won’t send any events.
Make sure:
The relevant app (Rewards, Reviews, Wishlist) is enabled.
The specific earning rule (e.g., Leave a review) is active.
Why is Growave data not syncing with Klaviyo?
Even if flows and notifications are correctly set up, events won’t work unless data is syncing properly between Growave and Klaviyo.
1. Re-authenticate your Klaviyo integration
Outdated integrations (especially those set up before 2025) may block data sync. To refresh:
In Growave, go to Integrations → Klaviyo app card.
Disable the Klaviyo app integration, then re-enable it.
When prompted, sign into Klaviyo and approve permissions.
Select the Growave apps you want to connect (Rewards, Reviews, Wishlist), then click Save.

Even without selecting apps, user data will sync for segmentation.
2. Check integration status
In Klaviyo, make sure Growave is listed as an active integration.
In Growave, confirm the correct apps were selected during setup.
3. Check timing and delays
Some notifications and earning rules in Growave include a delay setting before the message is sent, such as:
Review request emails
Wishlist reminder emails
Points or Rewards expiration emails.
Klaviyo only receives the event after this delay has passed.
✅ Example:
If the review request email is set to send 3 days after order fulfillment, the Klaviyo event won’t appear until that 3-day delay has passed.
Other causes to check
Klaviyo segment setup: Make sure your segment/flow is set to listen for the correct event or profile property.
Custom flows: If you’re using filters in the flow trigger, verify the conditions are met.
