Overview
The Reviews app allows you to integrate third-party translation services to make product feedback accessible to a global audience. This feature uses machine translation to provide on-demand translations directly on your storefront.

How to enable review translation
To enable this feature, you must connect your preferred automated translation service in the admin panel.
Navigate to the Growave admin panel.
Go to Reviews → Settings → Translations.
Under the Translate product reviews section, choose either DeepL or Google Translate.
Enter your API Key and click Save.
⚠️ Important
Growave does not charge any additional fees to use the review translation feature. However, Google Translate and DeepL may charge for their services depending on your specific plan or if you exceed their free usage limits.
📘 Note
Reviews translation is not fully automated. To trigger a translation, customers must click the See translation button on the review card within the Product reviews widget and Reviews floating widget. This ensures you only use API credits when a customer actually needs the translation.
How to get a Google Translate API key
Log in to your Google account and navigate to the Google Cloud Translation API.
Click Try Translation API.
Set up your billing account and payment details.
Important: Google may offer trial credits, but a valid payment method is required to generate an API key.
Once in the Cloud Translation API dashboard, click Enable.
In the APIs & Services menu, select Credentials.
Click Create Credentials → API key.
Copy Copy the created API key.
Return to Growave admin → Reviews → Settings → Translate product reviews.
Enter the copied API key and click Save.
How to get a DeepL API key
Sign up for a DeepL Pro account and provide the necessary information, including payment details. Note: DeepL offers a free API trial with translation limits.
After registering, click Account management to access your settings.
Navigate to the API Keys tab and copy your DeepL API key.
Return to Growave admin → Reviews → Settings → Translations → Translate product reviews.
Enter the copied API key and click Save.
