If you need to temporarily stop your Rewards program, you can pause it from the Growave admin panel.
⚠️ Important
Pausing the program stops customers from earning and redeeming points, but it does not stop your subscription charges.
To stop billing but KEEP your data: Do not uninstall the app. Instead, downgrade to the Free plan (Settings → Billing). This preserves your data indefinitely.
To delete everything: If you uninstall the app, all data and settings are permanently deleted after 48 hours.
Pausing the Points program
Before pausing the Points program, we recommend notifying your customers so they can redeem any points they've earned. Once you're ready, follow these steps to disable the program:
Go to the Growave admin panel → Rewards → Settings.
Find the Points program status section.
Click Disable.
Key things to know when pausing the Points program
Customer point balances remain unchanged: Pausing the program does not affect the points customers have already earned.
Existing discount codes remain valid: Customers can still use any discount codes they generated before the program was paused. These discounts will remain visible in both the Rewards widget and the Rewards page as long as one of the other programs remains active. If you prefer that customers don't use redeemed discounts during the paused period, you can delete those codes from your Shopify admin panel.
Referrals and VIP Tiers remain active: Pausing the Points program does not affect Referral benefits or VIP Tier statuses.
Disabling the Referrals and VIP Tiers
To fully stop all rewards activities, you must disable the Points, Referral, and VIP Tiers programs individually:
Go to the Growave admin panel → Rewards → Settings section.
Click Disable for the Referral program.
Click Disable for the VIP Tiers program.
📘 Note
When all three programs (Points, Referral, VIP Tiers) are disabled, no new members will be added, points won't be accrued, and the Rewards widgets automatically disappear from your storefront.
Re-activating the Rewards programs
You can re-enable any program at any time by returning to the Rewards → Settings page and clicking Enable.
As long as the Growave app remained installed (even on the Free plan), your previous settings, earning rules, and customizations will be restored immediately. You will not need to reconfigure everything from scratch.
