This guide explains how to remove the Growave 2.0 app from your Shopify store. Because Growave 2.0 primarily utilizes Shopify's App Embeds, the uninstallation process is usually clean and does not require editing your theme code.
⚠️ Important
After deleting the Growave app, your associated data will be stored for 48 hours. After this period, all data will be permanently removed.
If you want to stop charges but keep your data and settings for later, you do not need to uninstall the app. Switch to the Free plan instead. In Growave admin, navigate to Settings → Billing → select the Free plan.
Follow these steps to remove the app and stop any future billing.
Identify your version
You are on Growave 2.0 if:
You installed the app after January 22, 2024.
You have already migrated from Growave 1.0 to 2.0.
If you are using Growave 1.0, code removal is typically required. Please contact support for assistance.
Uninstall the app
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels
Find Growave, click Uninstall

If Growave widgets were manually installed by pasting placeholders into the theme files, these must be removed manually. If these placeholders are left in your theme after uninstallation, they will not result in any charges. However, we recommend removing them to keep your theme code clean.
