Overview
Growave offers a collection of tools to boost engagement and improve the customer experience across your entire store. These are categorized into App widgets — blocks for various online store pages, Pages — dedicated Rewards, Reviews, and Wishlist pages, Online store extensions for Shopify Checkout and Customer Accounts), and POS extensions for physical store Point of Sale devices.
You can access the full catalog in Growave admin → Onsite widgets. This central hub allows you to browse available features, integrate them into your theme, and monitor their status.
Key actions available in Onsite widgets:
Select theme: Use the Select theme dropdown to add widgets to live or draft themes.
Browse: Explore the full list of available widgets, pages, and extensions.
Add to store:
For widget blocks: Adds widgets directly to your storefront theme.
For online store extensions: Opens relevant account or checkout pages editor.
For POS extensions: Opens Point of Sales smart grid template editor. Learn more →
Enable/Disable: Switch on or off the floating elements, namely the Rewards pop-up and launcher, Reviews floating widget and launcher, and Wishlist floating widget and launcher.
Configure:
Rewards page: Opens a setup dialogue to configure the page. Learn more →
Loyalty QR & Wallet: Opens a setup dialogue to configure this feature. Learn more →
Reviews page, Wishlist pages: Provides links to our help center articles about these automatically generated pages.
AVG rating on collections, Add to Wishlist Card: Leads to the set up guides in our help center.
Monitor status: Check the current state of each widget:
Enabled / Disabled: Applies to floating elements (Rewards pop-up and launcher, Reviews floating widget and launcher, Wishlist floating widget and launcher).
Installed / Not installed: Applies to embedded widgets (e.g., Loyalty info widget, Star rating, Add to Wishlist button).
Note: Status indicators are not displayed for Pages, Extensions for Shopify, and POS.
📘 Note
When previewing widgets in the Shopify theme customizer, the badge “Dummy content shown” indicates that example data is being displayed. Real customer data will appear once the widget is live.
How to hide or remove Growave widgets from your store
Any Growave widget added via the Onsite widgets menu to the Shopify Theme Editor can be easily hidden or removed entirely from your theme settings.
To hide or remove a widget:
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Edit theme.
Navigate to the template where the widget is located (for example, the Default product template).
Locate the specific Growave block in the left-hand sidebar menu.
Hover over the block and click the Hide (Eye) icon to make it invisible, or click the Remove (Trash) icon to delete it from the page entirely.
📘 Note
You can always re-add a removed widget later by clicking "Add block" in the Theme Editor or via Growave's Onsite widgets menu.
Rewards widgets, Rewards page, Loyalty QR & Wallet
Purpose: Display and manage your loyalty program directly on the storefront.
Rewards pop-up widget
Floating widget opened from the launcher button, showing points, referrals, and VIP Tiers. Hidden on the Rewards page to avoid duplication.
Earn points widget
Shows potential points earned for a product purchase.
Rewards page
Dedicated page (/pages/rewards) that lists Ways to earn, Ways to redeem, VIP Tiers, Referrals, and History.
Loyalty info widget
Displays the customer’s balance, VIP tier progress, referral link, and View rewards button.
Loyalty QR & Wallet
This feature allows customers to use QR or barcodes to earn points and redeem rewards at your physical store, as well as save their loyalty pass to Apple and Google Wallets for easy access.
Reviews widgets and page
Purpose: Collect, display, and manage customer feedback across your store.
Product reviews widget
Full review display for product pages with rating summary, filter and sort controls, Q&A, and review cards with media and attributes.
Star rating widget
Compact element under product titles, showing average rating and review count.
AVG rating on collections
Places a product's star rating and review count directly on your product cards. Can be used in the Collections block.
Reviews slider
Horizontally scrolling carousel with reviews images and text for various store pages.
Reviews mini slider
Smaller auto-scrolling version showing short excerpts.
Reviews floating widget
Floating sidebar for viewing or submitting reviews anywhere on the site.
Reviews page
Dedicated /pages/reviews page automatically created when the Reviews app is enabled.
Wishlist widgets and page
Purpose: Let customers save and share their favorite products.
Add to Wishlist button
Adds items to Wishlist from product pages with one click.
Add to Wishlist card
Adds items to Wishlist from product cards via heart icon.
Wishlist floating widget
Sidebar accessible via the Wishlist launcher button.
Wishlist page
Dedicated /pages/wishlist page automatically created when the Wishlist app is enabled.
Account page extensions
Purpose: Extend Shopify’s customer account pages experience with loyalty information, review prompts, and wishlist management.
🚀 Feature availability
Account extensions are available starting from the Growth plan.
Loyalty info
Displays points, VIP tier status, referral code, and View rewards button. Can be placed on the Profile and Orders pages.
Ask review
Prompts customers to leave feedback for completed orders on the Order status page.
Earned points
Shows points earned per order on the Order status page.
Rewards page extension
Embeds a fully functional loyalty hub (Points, VIP Tiers, Referrals) directly on the New customer accounts page.
Wishlists page extension
Displays customer wishlists on the Profile page, allowing users to create lists, share favorites, and view and manage saved products.
Checkout page extensions
Purpose: Provide loyalty and social proof elements during checkout.
🚀 Feature availability
Checkout extensions have specific eligibility requirements:
Shopify plan: Your store must be on the Shopify Plus plan.
Growave plan: You must be on the Growave Plus or Unlimited plan.
Visibility: The Checkout page extensions section in the Onsite widgets menu is visible only if your store is on the Shopify Plus plan.
Redeem rewards at checkout
Let customers redeem points and apply available rewards directly at checkout.
Potential points indicator
Shows how many points the current order will earn.
Featured reviews slider
Displays verified reviews to increase buyer confidence.
Refer a friend
Enables post-purchase referrals from the Thank you page.
POS extensions
Purpose: Growave's POS extensions allow retail staff to instantly access customer loyalty data, wishlists, and gift registries directly from the smart grid to personalize the in-store checkout experience.
Redeem rewards POS extension
Allow staff to instantly check a customer's point balance and VIP tier, and seamlessly apply rewards using POS devices.
Loyalty QR POS extension
Allow staff to instantly identify customers by scanning their barcodes or QR codes using POS devices.
Wishlists POS extension
Allow staff to instantly check a customer's wishlists using POS devices.
Gift registries POS extension
Allow staff to instantly check a customer's gift registries using POS devices.
