Overview
Growave’s Reviews widgets let you collect and display customer feedback directly on your Shopify store.
Each widget focuses on a different placement or display style, from product-specific reviews to sliders and a floating sidebar.
You can manage Reviews widgets in Growave admin → Onsite widgets → Reviews, customize their appearance in Branding → Reviews, and edit texts through Branding → Languages.
Product reviews widget
Display a full overview of customer feedback on product pages
This widget provides a complete review section, including rating summaries, filtering, sorting, and interactive features. It usually appears below product details and helps customers make informed purchase decisions.
Placement options
When installed from Onsite widgets, the Reviews widget is automatically added to the Default product page in the Template section → under the Related products block.
Customer view
When customers view a product page, the Reviews widget includes:
Overall rating summary: Displays the average rating (e.g., 3.6/5), total review count (e.g., Based on 8 reviews), and bar chart breakdown for each star level (1–5).
Interaction buttons:
Ask a question — opens a form for product-related questions (if Q&A feature is enabled).
Write a review — opens a form to leave a new review.
Tabs under summary:
Reviews — shows published product reviews.
Questions — shows approved customer questions with shop owner answers (if Q&A feature is enabled).
Filter and sort controls:
Filter — filter reviews by answers to Attributes (size, fit, quality, etc.) if the Attributes feature is enabled.
Sort by — choose how reviews appear:
Most relevant
Most recent
Highest rating
Lowest rating
With photos
Most helpful
Individual review cards: Show reviewer name, rating, title, and detailed feedback. Cards may include (depending on active app features and available content):
Slider with images posted by customers.
Submitted photos (supported formats: jpg, jpeg, png, webp).
Edit button (if review editing is enabled for customers).
See translation link (if the reviews translation feature is enabled).
Attributes like size, fit, quality, etc. (if the Attributes feature is enabled and product has relevant answers).
Review date and "helpful' vote counter (thumb icon).
Shop owner replies.
Behavior
Review forms open in a pop-up modal and include required and optional fields.
Logged-in customers have their names auto-filled; guests must provide name and email.
When a new review is submitted, it appears after approval if moderation is enabled.
Customers can filter and sort reviews dynamically without page reload.
Clicking a photo uploaded by customer in a review card opens the enlarged photo modal window with review details.
Customization and text
In the Shopify page editor:
Click the widget.
Set the minimum number of images to trigger the image slider with customer photos.
Choose the number of reviews displayed by default.
To change colors, icons, and layout, go to Growave admin → Branding → Reviews → General
Text and labels can be edited in Branding → Languages → Reviews → Reviews Product Page.

Star rating widget
Display average rating and review count under product titles
A compact widget placed under the product title showing the average star rating, review count, and an optional Ask a question link.
Placement options
When installed from Onsite widgets, it’s added to the Default product page → Product information block in the Shopify theme editor.
Customer view
Displays average rating, total reviews, and Ask a question link (if Q&A feature is enabled). Ask a question text is displayed if there are no questions asked for this product. If users have already published some questions, this link displays the number of questions.
Hovering over the widget opens a rating modal showing:
Average rating (e.g., 3.6/5).
Bar graph of review distribution (1–5★).
See all reviews link.
Behavior
Updates automatically when new reviews are added or approved.
Clicking See all reviews scrolls to the Reviews widget → Reviews tab.
Clicking Ask a question link scrolls to the Reviews widget → Questions tab.
Customization and text
In Branding → Reviews → Widget & Launcher → Star rating widget, you can:
Show or hide the widget when no reviews are available.
Choose display type:
Stars only
Text + stars
Text + stars + Ask a question link
Text and labels can be edited in Branding → Languages → Reviews → Average Reviews.

Reviews slider
Showcase customer feedback in a visually engaging carousel
A horizontally scrolling slider that displays customer reviews with star ratings, text, and images. It’s ideal for highlighting positive feedback on home or collection pages.
Placement options
When installed from Onsite widgets, the slider is added to the Home page template.
You can add the Review slider to almost any page via the Shopify page editor using Add section → Apps → Reviews slider.
Customer view
Displays review cards in a flexible slider format with product or customer-uploaded images, star rating, review text, and the reviewer's name.
Behavior
Displays up to 15 reviews by default (contact support to increase limit).
Reviews are displayed alternately from multiple products to ensure variety.
Automatically refreshes on page reload when Shuffle mode is active.
Clicking a review card opens the enlarged review modal with slider buttons, review details and Add to wishlist icon.
Customization and text
In the Shopify page editor, configure:
Filter by rating: Show 5★, 4★+, or all reviews.
Image source: Choose between product images or customer-uploaded review images.
Show only featured reviews: Display pinned reviews only.
Sequence:
Default — chronological by date (newest first).
Shuffle — random order for each reload.
⚠️ Important
The Reviews slider requires a minimum of 5 reviews to display.
If Show only featured reviews is enabled, at least 5 featured reviews are required.
Text and labels can be edited in Branding → Languages → Reviews → Reviews Slider.

Display a compact scrollable list of reviews
A smaller carousel that displays star ratings and short excerpts from reviews (long review texts are truncated).
Placement options
When installed from Onsite widgets, it’s added to the Default product page → Product information block in the Shopify theme editor.
You can add the mini slider to the product page using Shopify page editor → Add section → Apps → Reviews mini slider.
Behavior
Scrolls through available product reviews.
Clicking a review opens a slider modal with the full review content:

Customization
Available in the Shopify page editor:
Filter by rating: Show 5★, 4★+, or all reviews.
Show only pinned reviews: Display featured reviews only.
Reviews floating widget
Let customers browse or write reviews from almost any page
A floating sidebar visible across all pages except the dedicated Reviews page.
Triggered by clicking the Reviews launcher button, it displays all published reviews (including product and shop reviews) and allows new submissions.
Placement options
Automatically added when you enable the Reviews floating widget in Onsite widgets.
Customer view
Clicking the Reviews launcher button triggers the Reviews floating side drawer with the following content:
Our reviews block with the aggregate rating based on all available reviews.
Write a review button.
Sort by dropdown menu.
Review cards with:
Star rating
Date published
Reviewer name and product link (shop reviews don't have product links)
Review title and description
Attributes like size, fit, quality, etc.
Customer-uploaded image or images slider

Behavior
The launcher button appears sitewide except for the dedicated Reviews page (unless hidden in Branding → Reviews → Widget & Launcher → Launcher visibility).
Customers can open, read, or write reviews from any page.
New reviews submitted here appear in the same moderation workflow as product reviews.
Clicking the customer-uploaded images opens a review modal with an expanded image, review card content, and the Add to wishlist icon.
Customization and text
Control visibility, color, and position in Branding → Reviews → Widget & Launcher → Floating widget.
Language keys can be edited under Branding → Languages → Reviews → Reviews Drawer.
