Why are some features or settings disabled in the Growave admin panel?
Certain features or settings in the Growave admin panel may be disabled if they are not included in your current plan. When a feature is unavailable, you'll see the message: "This feature is available with one of our premium plans."
To explore premium plans and upgrade, click the link provided in the message. This will direct you to the Billing page in the admin panel, where you can view detailed information about available plans and select the one that best suits your needs.
How can customers apply a discount code?
In Growave 1.0, customers can copy their discount code from the Rewards widget and apply it during checkout:
In Growave 2.0, customers have two options for applying a discount. They can either:
- Copy the discount code from the Rewards widget and paste it into the Discount field at checkout.
- Click the "Apply" button under the relevant discount in the Rewards widget. When customers use this option, the discount will be automatically applied at checkout.
Can customer accounts be merged?
No, we recommend customers maintain a single account to retain all points and discounts.
How can I change the colors of Growave widgets?
Navigate to the Branding section, choose the Rewards, Reviews, or Wishlist tab, go to General or Widget & Launcher section to adjust colors and customize the appearance of relevant widgets:
What is the Growave custom liquid widget?
The Growave custom liquid widget allows merchants to insert Growave widget placeholders directly into a liquid section that can be added to almost any page editable via Shopify's theme customizer. It's built specifically for Growave placeholders and supports custom CSS. Only one placeholder should be used per Growave custom liquid block. Add multiple blocks if you want to show multiple widgets on the same page.
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Click the plus icon in the sections sidebar, go to the Apps tab, and select Growave custom liquid:
What is Shadow DOM (Shadow Root), and how does it affect widget styling?
By default, Growave widgets are rendered inside a Shadow DOM (also known as Shadow Root), which encapsulates each widget’s styles and prevents them from being affected by the theme’s CSS. This ensures consistent styling and avoids conflicts with your store's existing design. However, you can disable the Shadow DOM globally from the Shopify theme customizer:
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.
- Under App Embeds → Growave, use the toggle button to disable ShadowRoot globally. Once disabled, widgets will be rendered in the global DOM, allowing your theme styles or custom styles to apply directly.
Why are the reviews and wishlist widget launchers visible in the theme editor even when the apps are disabled?
The reviews and wishlist widget launchers are displayed in the Shopify theme editor regardless of whether the apps are enabled. This functionality allows shop owners to preview and test the placement and appearance of the widgets on their store before activating the apps. It ensures they can make adjustments and align the design with their store’s theme before going live.
You can hide these widgets' launchers both at the storefront and in the Shopify theme editor:
- For Reviews: Go to Branding → Reviews → Widget & Launahcer → Launcher visibility → select Hide on all devices.
- For Wishlist: Go to Branding → Wishlist → Widget & Launahcer → Launcher visibility → select Hide on all devices.
