How to import customer data to Growave

Import customer data like loyalty points, VIP tiers, reviews, and wishlists into Growave using CSV files

Transferring your Loyalty & Rewards, Reviews, or Wishlist data into Growave is a seamless process. Whether you're moving from another Shopify app or consolidating your data, follow the steps below to import your customer information into Growave.

⚠️ Important

  • For importing Points, VIP tiers, and Birth dates, you can provide either an Email or a Customer ID. Email is required by default, but if a Customer ID is provided, the email becomes optional. If an email is included, the Customer ID is optional.

  • CSV file size should not exceed 10 MB.


Import loyalty points data

You can import customer points by uploading a CSV file in the Import/ExportRewards section of Growave’s admin panel.

  1. Download the CSV template for the Rewards program.

  2. Fill it in with customer emails (optionally add customer IDs) and points data. Choose between:

    1. Adding point values to customers' current balances.

    2. Setting point balances to the exact values indicated in the file.

  3. Upload the file and set the import type to Points.

  4. Validate data and start import

Import VIP tiers data

You can import VIP tier data by uploading a CSV file in the Import/ExportRewards section of Growave’s admin panel.

  1. Download the CSV template for the Rewards program.

  2. Fill it in with customer emails (optionally add customer IDs) and relevant VIP tiers names.

    1. Choose to reward your customers for imported VIP Tier statuses.

  3. Upload the file and set the import type to VIP Tiers.

  4. Validate data and start import.

Import customers' birthday data

To import customer birth dates, upload a CSV file in the Import/Export → Rewards section of Growave’s admin panel.

  3. Upload the file and set the import type to Birthday.

  4. Validate data and start import.

Import customer reviews

To import customer reviews, upload a CSV file in the Import/Export → Reviews section of Growave’s admin panel.

  1. Fill it in with required customer, product, and review details (see table below).

  2. Optionally include additional fields like review date or photo URL.

  3. Upload the file and set the import type to Reviews.

  4. Validate data and start import.

⚠️ Important

* Validation passes successfully if either product_id or product_handle is added and correct. If neither product_id nor product_handle is indicated, the review will be added as the shop review and won't be associated with any product.


Import wishlist data

You can import wishlist data by uploading a CSV file in the Import/Export → Wishlist section of Growave’s admin panel.

  1. Fill it in with customer and product identifiers (see table below).

  2. Upload the file.

  3. Validate data and start import.
