Overview
This guide explains how to integrate the Growave's Rewards page extension into Shopify's New Customer Accounts page. This extension allows customers to view their points balance, redeem rewards, check their VIP tier, and access their referral link directly from their dedicated account hub.

The Rewards page extension is available for Growave 2.0 users starting from the Growth plan.
Installation steps
To add the Rewards page extension, follow these steps:
In Shopify admin, navigate to Online Store → Themes.
Click Edit theme next to your current theme.
At the top of the editor, use the dropdown menu to select Checkout and customer accounts.
Go to the Apps section in the sidebar.
Locate the Rewards page extension widget in the list of extensions and click the + icon.
Click Add page to → Accounts.
In the sidebar, click Add to menu → Save changes.
In the next dialog window, enter a label (e.g., "My Rewards") to add this page to the Customer account main menu, and click Save. Do not change the Link input, as the link to the Rewards page extension is selected by default.
Once integrated, you will see the example page with dummy content. Your customers will see live content from their account pages.
To change the menu link title, go to the Sections tab in the theme editor, click Header → Customer account main menu → find and update the Reward page extension link title → Save changes.
📘 Note
If all Rewards programs are disabled in Growave, the widget will display a blank white screen. Ensure your programs are active in the Growave admin.
Sections of the Rewards page extension
This extension is organized into specific sections to maximize usability. The layout typically follows this order:
Header: Displays the Rewards banner with the default image. You can upload a custom image by inserting an image link.
Points balance: Displays the current customer’s points balance.
Current tier: Displays information on the current VIP tier status and progress towards the next tier. If the VIP tiers program is active but the customer hasn't reached any tier yet, this section will be hidden.
Available rewards: Shows rewards the customer has earned or redeemed, but not yet used on orders. Clicking the Terms link in the available reward card opens a pop-up with discount details and conditions.
Ways to spend points: Display available spending rules. Clicking the Redeem link opens a pop-up with discount details, conditions, and the Redeem button.
Ways to earn points: Display available earning actions. Completed actions are still displayed in the list, marked with a corresponding tag.
VIP tiers: Displays cards with all available VIP tiers, their details, and perks (if they exist). The current tier is marked with the Active tag. If a customer does not have a tier yet, this section will still be visible.
Refer a friend: Displays the Referral program section with two cards:
Referral program conditions and process.
Sharing options and available rewards for the referring customer and referred friend (rewards are hidden from this section if “No reward” is selected in the Referral program settings).
📘 Note
Referred friends (receivers) will see their referral reward details after they click the link, register, and land on the home page (automatically redirected after registering).
How redeeming rewards work
The Ways to redeem points section allows customers to exchange their points for rewards. Clicking on a reward card opens a modal with specific details and a Redeem button.
Fixed amount / Percentage discounts: The modal displays the discount details. After clicking Redeem, the discount is generated and moves to the Available rewards section.
Variable amount / Percentage discounts: The modal allows the customer to choose the exchange value. After clicking Redeem, the discount code is generated and appears in Available rewards.
Free shipping: Similar to fixed discounts, clicking Redeem generates the code, which then appears in the Available rewards section.
Free product: The modal shows the product details. After clicking Redeem, the reward appears in Available rewards with a Copy code option and the clickable product name, redirecting the customer to the product page.
Note: There is no direct "Checkout" button in this view.
Gift card: After clicking Redeem and confirming, the gift card code is generated and listed in Available rewards.
Store credit: Clicking Redeem adds the value to the customer's store credit balance.
Important: While the balance is updated, the actual Store credit balance amount is not currently displayed within this extension.
How earning actions work
When customers interact with the Ways to earn points cards on the account page, the behavior varies by rule type:
Sign up: This action is automatically marked as Completed immediately after the new customer logs in/signs up with a 6-digit one-time code (due to how New customer accounts work in Shopify).
Order-related actions: Rules such as Place order, Buy X to get Y, or Punch card will display a Shop now or Buy button. Clicking this redirects the customer to the storefront (collection or product page) in a new tab.
Leave a review: Clicking Leave review opens a modal, then redirects to the product page on the storefront, where the review submission pop-up opens automatically.
Subscribe to newsletter: Clicking Subscribe opens a modal with subscription options. Once the customer selects an option and clicks Confirm, the page reloads, and the action is marked as completed.
Celebrate birthday: Clicking Set opens a modal where the customer can enter their birth date and save changes.
Follow on... actions: Actions for Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, or X will redirect the user to the respective social network in a new tab.
Share on... actions: Clicking share buttons redirects to the social platform in a new tab. The Email share option opens the user's default email client.
Custom action: Unlike other widgets, this displays a Show button. Clicking it opens a modal displaying the custom action description.
Translation and localization
You can edit the text displayed in this widget (headings, buttons, and descriptions) via the Growave admin:
Go to the Branding section → Languages.
Find the text you want to edit, e.g., “Become a member. Earn points on every order. Redeem for discounts on future orders.”
Edit the text and save.
