The Questions & Answers (Q&A) feature enhances customer engagement and increases conversions by allowing shoppers to ask questions and receive prompt, reliable answers directly on product pages.

How to use Questions & Answers

Enable Q&A

  1. In Growave admin, navigate to Reviews β†’ Settings β†’ Questions & Answers.

  2. Toggle the feature to Enable.

  3. Turn on notifications for new customer questions.

  4. Enable CAPTCHA to prevent spam messages.

Set up email notifications

  1. Navigate to Reviews and click Notifications in the Growave admin panel.

  2. Enable the Answer posted email notification to ensure customers know when you reply to their questions.

Managing and moderating Q&A

You can view and manage all customer questions in the Q&A section of the Reviews app:

  • Moderation: Questions are not published automatically. When you respond to a question, it is published on the site, and the response is sent to the customer via email.

  • Manual control: You can manually publish, unpublish, reply to, or delete customer questions if needed.

  • Sorting and search: Filter questions by answered or unanswered status, or search for specific items using keywords.

⚠️ Important

You cannot edit customer questions. Shopify treats customer questions as user-generated content, which must remain authentic. You can only edit shop answers. Click More next to your answer and select Edit.

βœ… Tip: If a customer's question needs to be updated or corrected for any reason, you can delete the original question and politely ask the customer to submit a new, updated one.

Any URLs or links included in customer questions or your shop answers will be displayed as plain text and will not be clickable on the storefront.

Import existing questions

If you already have customer questions exported from other platforms, you can import them into Growave and display them on your website:

  • Go to Import/Export β†’ Reviews tab.

  • Download a CSV template and fill it with Q&A data.

  • Upload the file, set import type to Questions & Answers and run import.
