Getting started with Reviews

Showcase customer reviews with photos to boost credibility, conversions, and sales. Stand out from the crowd with beautiful review galleries, carousels, and customizable widgets. Increase sales by earning customers' trust with reviews.

Here, in just a few steps we can assist you in getting started. Let's start from the dashboard and enable the Reviews:

You can play around and set up everything as you want to go up and running:

1. Set up review request emails, get reviews from every purchase, and boost your site's social proof.


2. Reviews are precious, import existing ones manually, or using the CSV file. You can get more information on it here.


3. Enable the Questions & Answers feature, it is in the Reviews section since they are connected.


4. Ask different types of customer- and product-related questions with the Custom Questions feature. You will let potential customers get to know your products better with detailed parameters.

On the storefront, next to the "Add Review" button, there is a "Filter Reviews" button. This feature allows users to filter product reviews based on custom questions available for a particular product.

NOTE: This feature is available for the Growave V2 Reviews widget.


In the Review Settings section, you can find more helpful and interesting options:

NOTE: Starting from July 8, 2024, all new reviews will be automatically published after 14 days, regardless of your auto-publishing rating setting. For instance, if you enable the auto-publish feature and set the rating threshold to 4 stars, 3-star reviews will still be automatically published after 14 days. This setting is mandatory and cannot be disabled, as it is required by Spotify.

You can manually review and curate your reviews during this 14-day period. We strongly encourage you to publish all valid reviews promptly to comply with local regulations. This change does not affect reviews submitted before July 8, 2024.


Also, we can implement the Reviews Badge (only for customers using Growave version V1, if you have joined our app before January 22, 2024) that will allow displaying the overall rating based on all the reviews of your shop. Check out how you may add it here.


Reviews Branding

Growave version V1 has limited Reviews' branding options: you can set the main, secondary, and star colors.

For users of the new Growave version V2 (if you joined our app after January 22, 2024), we're excited to introduce updates to Reviews branding! This functionality enhances user experience by enabling you to customize the Reviews interface to match your brand's style.

Learn how to effectively and promptly customize Reviews with the Branding section of the Growave admin panel:

  1. Go to Branding > Reviews.
  2. Choose Primary and Secondary colors (used for the Buttons color in Widgets and Launcher background in the Review tab).
  3. Set Review Stars color.
  4. Use the "Reviewer Name" dropdown list to configure how user names are displayed and shortened. Available options include: Show full name (John Smith), Shorten last name (John S.), Shorten full name (J. S.), and Anonymous. Once you select an option, it will apply to all your widgets, and names will be displayed in the chosen format.
  5. In the "Review tab" section, use the check button to show the Reviews floating sidebar in the storefront. Here you can also choose the sidebar position (Right center, Left center), and set the Launcher background, Font, and Icon background colors.
