How to pause Loyalty and Rewards program
If you need to temporarily stop your Loyalty & Rewards program, you can easily pause it from the Growave admin panel.
NOTE: Pausing the Loyalty and Rewards program does not stop billing; your Growave subscription charges will continue as usual.
Pausing the Points program
Before pausing the Points program, we recommend notifying your customers so they can redeem any points they've earned. Once you're ready, follow these steps to disable the program:
- Go to the Admin panel → Rewards → Settings → Points program status section.
- Click "Disable" to pause the Points program.
Key things to know when pausing the Points program:
- Customer point balances remain unchanged: Pausing the program does not affect the points customers have already earned.
- Existing discount codes remain valid: Customers can still use any discount codes they generated before the program was paused. These discounts will remain visible in both the Rewards widget and the Rewards page as long as one of the other programs remains active. If you prefer that customers don't use redeemed discounts during the paused period, you can delete those codes from your Shopify admin panel.
- Referrals and VIP Tiers remain active: Pausing the Points program does not affect Referral benefits or VIP Tier statuses.
Disabling the Referral and VIP Tiers programs
If you want to fully disable the entire Loyalty and Rewards program, you must disable the Points, Referral, and VIP Tiers programs individually:
- Go to the Admin panel → Rewards → Settings section.
- Click "Disable" both for Referral and VIP Tiers programs.
When all three programs are disabled, no new members will be added, points won't be accrued, and the Rewards widget will be deactivated. The Rewards widget and the Rewards page will no longer be visible to your customers.
Re-activating the Loyalty and Rewards program
Points, Referrals, and VIT Tiers programs can be enabled directly from the relevant program page:
After pausing or disabling your Loyalty and Rewards program, your program settings will be saved when you re-activate it.
Any customizations made before pausing the program will remain intact, so you won't need to reconfigure your settings after reactivation.
