Language editor and multi-language feature

At Growave, you can translate specific phrases from your Shopify website into the language of your choice, or modify any default copy to align more effectively with your brand's voice. To do so, kindly proceed to the admin panel > Branding > Language Editor section:

There you can see all the changeable phrases and their values, change them boldly in a way you like it! And if you are looking for a specific phrase, please use the search field:

We're glad to announce that Growave now supports Multilanguage functionality and it includes the following languages with ready translations:

1) English

2) Japanese

3) Simplified Chinese

4) Spanish

5) Italian

6) German

7) French

8) Korean

9) Portuguese (Brazil)

10) Dutch

There are additional languages available that are manually translated on your end. Moreover, if the languages are not configured in the Language section in Shopify, yet a Shopify theme supports a language, you still have the option to select that language (e.g. Japanese) from the Growave Dashboard. 


Multi-language feature for the emails is based on the locality and are sent in a certain language according to your Customers' location. The emails need to be first translated in the Growave Admin.

Step 1. Go to the Admin Notification Center select any email and choose a language:

IMPORTANT: Due to the underlying logic, the English version will always open first when you visit the language section or reload the page, even if you previously changed the language.

The email with the translation will be sent based on the customer's location.


Then, please refer to the following guide on how to set up this new feature in Shopify:

  1. Change the language from the Shopify admin -> Settings -> Language -> Add additional language:

  1. Publish the languages that you want to show. After that, on the storefront, a selection of languages will appear and when you change the language, our widgets will be automatically translated.

You can turn the language selector shown in the screenshot below in Shopify admin -> Theme -> Customize -> Footer -> Language selector:


NOTE: if the additional language is one of the Languages that our app doesn't support - then the widgets will be translated into English by default. In this case, you are able to go to the Language editor and translate the text manually.


Moreover, if you do not see the published languages and no selector appears at the bottom, please do the following steps:

  1. Go to Shopify admin > Settings > select a marketplace and click on it:

  1. Then click on Manage in "Domains and languages" and at the bottom in the Languages block select all the languages you want:


How to change the language of Earning and Spending rules?

Growave has launched a new feature that allows you to translate the Earning and Spending rules from the Growave Admin. Please keep in mind that this feature requires you to update the wording manually on your end. To translate the title and the description, go to Shopify Admin → Growave app → Rewards → Select a rule → Choose a language, and then add or change the wording. 

Step 1. Select a language: 

Step 2. Change the wording of the title and description → Click‘ Save’: 

NOTE: Translations must be added manually. Once the new language is added on the Shopify side, it will also appear in the Growave settings. Please make sure to add the translations in that language, otherwise the default rule's title and description would stay the same.
