Integrating Growave with PushOwl

PushOwl is a web push notification app widely used by Shopify merchants to engage customers through browser-based push alerts. It’s known for easy setup and effective automation tools that help re-engage customers even after they leave your store.

By integrating PushOwl with Growave, you can send targeted push notifications for:

  • Review requests (Reminder #1, #2, and #3)

  • Wishlist updates (Reminder email and Product on Sale email)

These notifications are sent automatically alongside Growave emails, increasing visibility and improving engagement across devices and platforms.

Before you begin, install and configure the PushOwl app from the Shopify App Store.


How to enable the integration

In the Growave admin, go to Integrations → find the PushOwl app, and click Enable.

Enable the specific web push notifications you want to send. You’ll see the following options:

  • Review request

  • Product on sale

  • Product on save

You can change the titles and subtitles of these notifications. However, do not remove the {{product_name}} variable from the review request fields.


Web push notification triggers

Push notifications are sent to identified subscribers — users whose email is known to PushOwl through sign-up, login, or purchase.

Review requests

Push notifications are triggered at the same time as Growave’s review request emails (Reminder #1, #2, and #3). These push notifications are only sent if the corresponding emails are enabled in Growave.

Wishlist updates

Push notifications are sent alongside:

  • Saved wishlist reminder email

  • Wishlist items on sale email
