To use Growave's account extensions, ensure the following criteria are met:
- You must be subscribed to Growave's Growth or higher plan.
- Customers must be logged into their accounts.
- The Rewards and Reviews programs must be enabled in the Growave app.
- Your Shopify store must use new customer accounts:
How to add Growave extensions to Shopify account pages
You can either use the Onsite pages menu in Growave admin (see our guide) or the Shopify page customizer:
- In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → choose a theme and click Customize to enter page editor:
- In the page selector menu, choose "Checkout and customer accounts":
- Go to the Apps menu in the page customizer.
- Browse the list of all Growave extensions and widgets available for integration.
- Click the + icon next to the extension title.
- A modal window will display only those Shopify pages where this specific extension can be embedded, ensuring accurate placement.
- Select Loyalty info, Ask review, or Earned points extensions designed for Shopify account pages: Profile, Orders, and Order status:
NOTE: Other Gorwave extensions in the list, such as Redeem points at checkout, Potential points indicator and Featured reviews slider are designed for Shopify checkout pages.
Loyalty info
This extension provides customers with an overview of their loyalty program progress and can be added to the Profile and Orders pages. The extension includes the following sections: points earned, points expiration details, and a link allowing to redeem rewards, VIP tier status with a progress bar to the next level, and the customer’s referral code (if the Referral program is enabled).
To change the "Redeem reward" link, click the Loyalty info extension and add a new URL in the relevant field. By default, if you do not add a custom URL, this link directs users to the shop's home page and triggers the Rewards popup widget.
Shopify's legacy customer accounts
Unlike other account page extensions, the Loyalty info widget can also be added to account pages if you use legacy customer accounts in Shopify.
To add it, in Shopify admin, go to Theme → Customize. In the page selector, choose Legacy customer accounts → Customer account page. In the account page preview window, log in as a customer, after that, you can add this widget.
Go to the Sections menu in the page customizer. In the Template section, click "Add section" and select the Loyalty info widget from the Apps tab:
By default, the Redeem reward link in this widget redirects to the home page and opens the Rewards popup. To change this link, click the Loyalty info widget, then either enter a custom URL or select an existing shop page from the dropdown menu.
NOTES:
- The dropdown with shop pages is available only for the Loyalty info widget for legacy customer accounts. The Loyalty info extension for new customer accounts supports custom URLs only because of Shopify limitations.
- For multilingual shops, it is recommended to select a page from the dropdown to avoid redirect issues. If you set a custom URL, the link will always lead to the default language page (English).
Ask review
This extension helps to encourage customer engagement by asking them to leave a review on their recently placed orders. This widget can be embedded on the Order status page, making it easy for customers to leave feedback.
Earned points
This extension informs customers about the points they've earned for the completed order right on the Order status page. It helps to reinforce the value of the loyalty program and encourages repeat purchases.
