Guide to Switch Klaviyo and Gorgias Authorization to OAuth2

As we navigate through the changes ahead, it is crucial to ensure that your email and SMS flows continue without any interruptions. This becomes especially pertinent with the upcoming deprecation of the current authorization method by the end of June 2024.

Klaviyo integration

To seamlessly transition and maintain the functionality of your Klaviyo account, it is imperative to follow these steps to switch your authorization to OAuth2:

Step 1: In the Growave admin panel, navigate to the Integrations section, locate Klaviyo, and click Disable to start re-authenticating connection via OAuth2:

Step 2: In the popup window, click OK:

Step 3: Click the Enable button on the Kaviyo app card.

Step 4: A new popup window will prompt you to sign in to Klaviyo. Authorize with one of the available options and click Continue to proceed. In the next window, click Allow to grant Growave permission to share information with Klaviyo.

Step 5: Once connected, you can select the Growave apps you want to enable. Click the Settings button on the Klaviyo app card:

Select checkboxes of the relevant Growave apps and click the Connect button.

NOTE: If no apps are selected, emails will continue to be sent through Growave, but user data will still be shared with Klaviyo for segmentation purposes.

Step 6: Your integration with Klaviyo is now successfully set up. To confirm, go to the Klaviyo Integrations section and verify that Growave is listed.

Your Klaviyo integration is now secured and updated to use OAuth2.

By following these steps, you will ensure your Klaviyo integration is updated and secure, preventing any disruptions to your email and SMS flows.

Gorgias integration

To seamlessly transition and maintain the functionality of your Gorgias account, it is imperative to follow these steps to switch your authorization to OAuth2:

Step 1. Navigate to the Integrations page in the Growave admin panel and find Gorgias:

Step 2. Click on the Settings button for the Gorgias integration.

Step 3. Enter Account Name. In the modal window that appears, type in your account name. You can find this at the beginning of your account URL (e.g., in account.gorgias.com, copy the value of "account").

Step 4. After entering your account name, press Connect.

Step 5. Authorize in Gorgias.

  • A new floating window will appear, prompting you to authorize in Gorgias.

  • If you are already authorized, you will see a quick blink as the modal window opens and closes instantly.

Step 6. Confirmation. Your Gorgias integration is now secured and updated to use OAuth2.

By following these steps, you will ensure your Gorgias integration is updated and secure, preventing any disruptions to your reviews and ticket flow.

Step 7. Open the Shopify Flow app and navigate to the Growave x Gorgias flows.

Step 8. Locate the flows related to the Gorgias integration (e.g., "Someone left a review").

Step 9. Turn off or delete these workflows. This step is crucial to prevent duplicate ticket creation in Gorgias.
