How to add Custom questions to the Reviews form in Growave 1.0

NOTE: Custom questions are available for users of our legacy storefront (Growave 1.0) starting from the Growth plan.

Growave 2.0 users can take advantage of the new Attributes feature, which offers more detailed and tailored product and customer attribute questions.

Reviews are not only essential for driving sales and building social proof — they also provide an opportunity to understand your customers better. With Custom questions in the Reviews form, you can gather valuable insights into your customers’ preferences and give potential buyers a more detailed understanding of your products.

Follow this guide to set up and customize Custom questions in the admin panel:

Go to ReviewsCustom questions → click "Create new form". You can add as many forms as you need:

Customize the form using the following settings:

  1. Set the form name.
  2. Add a custom tag to show the custom questions in the Review form for the tagged products only. Learn more about customer and product tags here.
  3. Choose a question type:
  • Select between Customer or Product questions:
    • Customer-related questions help you collect details about your clients (e.g., age, gender, preferences).
    • Product-related questions allow you to gather feedback about your products (e.g., quality, size), helping you improve and better understand your offerings.
  1. Customize the question format:
  • For Customer-related questions, answer types include:
    • Radio buttons
    • Multiple choice
    • Text field
    • Select box
  • For Product-related questions, you can use the following formats:
    • Rating (1-5)
    • Fit
    • Text field
  1. Mark answers as required (optional): Decide if a question must be answered by enabling the "Require answer" setting.
  2. Format the question:

  • Enter the question title (Display name) and its content (Question).
  • Include up to 5 answer options (except for the Text field type).
  • Add more questions if required.
  1. Save the form:
  • Click Done to save separate questions and Save to finalize your Custom form creation.
