How to manage shop owner email notifications

Keeping your email notifications up to date ensures you never miss important updates from the Growave platform. This guide covers how to change or add email addresses for global shop owner notifications, as well as how to configure specific alerts for the Reviews and Rewards apps.

How to add email address for shop owner notifications

Shop owner notifications are global alerts sent to the shop admin or designated team members. By default, this email is set to the address you provided during the Growave installation. These notifications include:

  • Data exports from the Import/Export section (for Reviews and Wishlists) and the Analytics section (for Rewards).

  • Alerts for new reviews, customer review edits, and new customer questions.

  • System notifications about reaching email sending limits (if you are using the default Growave sender domain).

✅ Tip

To remove these sending limits, add your own Custom email domain for customer notifications.

To change or add email addresses for shop owner notifications:

  1. Navigate to the Growave admin panelSettingsGeneral settings tab.

  2. Under the Shop owner notifications section, type in the new email address and click Save. You can add multiple email addresses here.

How to configure shop owner notifications about reviews and customer questions

You can enable extra notifications to stay informed about new reviews, edited reviews, and customer questions.

Enable new review alerts

This setting sends an email alert when a new review is submitted or updated.

  1. In Growave admin, navigate to ReviewsSettings.

  2. Go to the Review request rules section.

  3. Select the checkbox under Get notified about reviews.

Enable review editing alerts

If you allow customers to update their reviews after submission and have the 'Get notified about reviews' option enabled, you will also receive updates when customers edit their reviews.

  1. In Growave admin, navigate to ReviewsSettings.

  2. Go to the Moderation and display section.

  3. Select the checkbox under Allow review editing for customers and ensure to switch on the Get notified about reviews option.

Enable Q&A alerts

  1. In Growave admin, navigate to ReviewsSettingsQuestions & Answers tab.

  2. In the New question alerts section, select the Send email alerts about new questions checkbox.

How to configure Referral fraud notifications for the shop owner

Set up alerts to monitor suspicious referral activity, such as self-referrals.

  1. In Growave admin, navigate to RewardsSettings → General tab.

  2. Scroll to the Fraud detection section.

  3. Under Alert destination, type in the email address(es) where you want to receive these alerts, click Add, and Save. You can add multiple email addresses here.
