Guide to Switch Klaviyo and Gorgias Authorization to OAuth2
In June 2024, the previous authorization method for the Klaviyo and Gorgias integrations was deprecated. To ensure uninterrupted email and SMS flows, it was essential to transition to OAuth2 by that time. If you haven’t completed the update yet or need to confirm your integration, follow these steps to reauthenticate your connection via OAuth2:
Steps to update Klaviyo integration
- In the Growave admin panel, navigate to the Integrations section. Locate the Klaviyo app card and click Disable to begin the re-authentication process.
- In the "Disable integration with Growave" popup, click OK to proceed.
- Click the Enable button on the Klaviyo app card.
- If you're not signed in to Klaviyo, a popup window will appear prompting you to sign in. Use one of the available options and click Continue.
- If you're already signed in, a popup will request access permissions. Click Allow to grant Growave permission to share data with Klaviyo.
- Once connected, choose the Growave apps you want to enable by selecting the relevant checkboxes. Click Save to finalize your selection.
NOTE: If no apps are selected, emails will continue to be sent through Growave, but user data will still be shared with Klaviyo for segmentation purposes.
- Your integration with Klaviyo is now successfully set up. Go to the Integrations section in Klaviyo and confirm that Growave is listed as an active integration.
By completing these steps, you’ll ensure your Klaviyo integration is secure and fully updated to use OAuth2, maintaining the smooth operation of your email and SMS campaigns.
Steps to update Gorgias integration
As part of the transition to OAuth2 completed in June 2024, the Gorgias integration also requires reauthentication to maintain seamless functionality. Follow these steps to reconnect your Gorgias account and ensure uninterrupted operation of your workflows:
- Log into your Gorgias app and copy your account name, which can be found at the beginning of your account URL (e.g., in
account.gorgias.com
, copy "account").
- In the Growave admin panel, navigate to the Integrations section. Locate the Gorgias app card and click Disable to begin the re-authentication process.
- Enter your account name in the relevant field and click Enable to initiate the OAuth2-based reconnection.
- A pop-up window will prompt you to log in and authorize Growave within Gorgias.
- If you are already logged in, the login window will blink and close automatically.
- In the next modal window, click Authorize to grant access to your shop data.
- Once the integration is successful, Gorgias will display a confirmation message indicating that your store is connected.
- Open the Shopify Flow app and navigate to the Growave x Gorgias flows.
- Locate the flows related to the Gorgias integration (e.g., "Someone left a review").
- Turn off or delete these workflows. This step is crucial to prevent duplicate ticket creation in Gorgias.
