How points are issued in multi-currency stores
In a multi-currency store, points are issued based on your store’s base currency, which aligns with Shopify's system. When a customer places an order in a different currency, Shopify automatically converts the order amount to your store's base currency using current market exchange rates. The converted amount is then sent to Growave, which uses this data to issue points according to your Rewards program settings.
EXAMPLE:
Let’s imagine that your shop’s base currency is JPY (Japanese Yen) and you’ve enabled multicurrency. A customer places an order for 5 USD.
Shopify converts USD to JPY based on market exchange rates. For example 1 USD = 144.8 JPY. 5 USD = 724 JPY.
Shopify sends these order details to Growave, and our app calculates the points based on your Rewards Settings and the 'Place Order' earning rule.
