How to translate reviews for better engagement

NOTE: This feature is available on a new storefront of Growave version V2. The V2 version applies to customers who joined our app after January 22, 2024.

Effective communication with customers is essential for building trust and driving sales. One key aspect is making sure product reviews are accessible to all customers, regardless of their language.

With our new review translation feature, you can easily translate review texts using top machine translation services like DeepL and Google Translate. This allows customers to view translated reviews directly on the storefront, enhancing their shopping experience and helping them make informed purchasing decisions.


Set up review translation in the Growave admin panel

To set up this feature, go to the review settings section Reviews Settings Translate product reviews and choose the automated translation service you want to use:

Available options include Google Translate and DeepL:

NOTE: Google Translate and DeepL may charge for their services depending on your chosen plan or if you exceed the free limits.


Google Translate integration for product reviews

If you choose Google Translate for translating your product reviews, please follow these instructions to configure the platform with Growave:

Step 1. Go to Google Translate API and click the "Try translation API" button.

Step 2. Enable the Translation API.

Step 3. Go to the "Credentials" section in the "APIs & Services" menu and create an API key.

Step 4. Copy the created API key.

Step 5. Enter the copied API key into the Growave admin panel.


DeepL integration for product reviews

If you select DeepL for translating your product reviews, follow these steps to integrate the service with Growave:

Step 1. Sign up with DeepL Pro and provide all the necessary information.

Step 2. Retrieve the API key from DeepL Pro.

Upon registration, click "Account management" to retrieve your API key.

Copy your DeepL API key from the "API Keys" tab.

Step 3. Enter the copied API key into the Growave admin panel.
